End-User License Agreement

Version 1.0.0 · Last updated: 12 July 2026

1. Acceptance

UVT Study Simulator ("the platform") is a study tool for preparing the UVT computer science licență exam. By signing in or using the platform you agree to this End-User License Agreement and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Who can use it

Sign-in is restricted to institutional Google accounts ending in @e-uvt.ro. The account you sign in with is personal: do not share access with others or use someone else's account. The public question bank can be browsed without an account.

3. License

You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the platform for your own exam preparation. This is a free, non-commercial student project; you may not resell it, offer it as a service, or use it for commercial purposes.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not scrape, bulk-download, or republish the question bank.
  • Do not attack, overload, probe, or attempt to bypass the security or rate limits of the platform.
  • Do not use the AI features to generate content unrelated to studying.
  • Do not submit other people's personal data in AI chat messages.

5. Content and ownership

Exam questions originate from the official UVT licență exam materials and remain the property of their authors; they are provided here solely for exam preparation. The platform's code, design, and branding belong to the platform author. Your attempt data (answers, scores, history) is yours — we process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. AI explanations (Gemini)

  • AI explanations are optional and powered by Google Gemini. When you use them, the question content and your chat messages are sent to Google; Google's own terms and policies apply to that processing.
  • You may provide your own Google AI Studio API key. It is stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and decrypted only to call Gemini on your behalf. You are responsible for that key and for any usage or costs tied to it; you can delete it at any time from your profile.
  • Generated explanations may be cached and shown to other students for the same question, without your identity attached.
  • AI output can be wrong. Explanations are study aids, not official answers — always verify against course materials.

7. Availability, warranty

The platform is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It is a student-built project: there is no guaranteed uptime, no guarantee that questions, answers, or scores are error-free, and features may change or be discontinued at any time. The platform is a practice tool — your exam result depends on your preparation, and no particular outcome is promised.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the platform author is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the platform — including reliance on AI-generated explanations or on the correctness of any question or answer. The service is provided free of charge.

9. Termination

Accounts that violate this agreement (for example scraping the question bank or abusing the AI features) may be suspended or removed. You can stop using the platform at any time and request deletion of your account and data via the contact address below.

10. Changes to this agreement

This agreement may be updated as the platform evolves; the current version is always published on this page. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law and contact

This agreement is governed by Romanian law. Questions, complaints, or data requests: raul.radulescu00@e-uvt.ro.
